Background：
Human serum albumin is the serum albuminfound in human blood. It is the most abundant AFP (Alpha-fetoprotein) is amajor plasma protein produced by the yolk sac and the liver during fetaldevelopment. As the most abundant plasma protein found in the human fetus, AFPplasma levels decrease rapidly after birth. But a variety of tumors includinghepatocellular carcinoma, hepatoblastoma, and nonseminomatous germ cell tumorsof the ovary and testis (eg, yolk sac and embryonal carcinoma) secretmeasurable AFP. Most studies report elevated AFP concentrations inapproximately 70% of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. Elevated AFPconcentrations are also found in 50% to 70% of patients with nonseminomatoustesticular tumors.
